Vision Trips give individuals and groups the opportunity to go and experience Haiti firsthand. These are week long trips designed to help North American congregations experience Haiti first hand. While it’s possible to be an HTF Supporter without going on a Vision Trip, those who do go remark that their life will never be the same again.
There really is something that happens to a person while visiting Haiti that is difficult to put into words. It
could be seeing first-hand the poverty that the majority of Haitians face every day; or the ability
to reach out and touch, and be touched, by those children and families who HTF is helping make
a difference in the lives of; or maybe even the profound hope that springs forth in the Haitian
people despite the unimaginable conditions most are forced to live in.
It is not necessary to travel to Haiti to understand the value of HTF’s work, but to sufficiently
experience the land and its people, and to catch what Haitians call the “Haiti bug”, you really
need to go.
From January to December, every year, HTF Vision Trips are occurring; sometimes as many as a
dozen times a year.
Anyone can go on a Vision Trip to Haiti, although not everyone feels cut out for it. A member of
the HTF Leadership Team can help you determine if a Vision Trip is right for you and members
of your congregation.
